REalliance has joined Co-operativesUK, Locality, the Plunkett Foundation, Regional Infrastructure for Social Enterprise (RISE) and the Social Enterprise Coalition (SEC) as a member of Defra’s Social Enterprise Strategic Partnership. Led by The Plunkett Foundation, SESP was formed to strengthen the link between Defra and the social enterprise sector and to enable effective engagement of the sector in contributing to the delivery of Defra’s priorities.
Mark Cook, Chair of REalliance, said “We welcome Defra’s innovative approach are delighted to join our colleagues from the wider sector on this important group. Through our networks we bring considerable knowledge and expertise regarding resource reuse and waste minimisation from over 700 social and community enterprises in the UK.”
Mark is a partner in law firm Anthony Collins and is nationally recognised as an expert on sustainable procurement, especially social issues/clauses e.g. targeted recruitment and training. He has a keen interest in the delivery of new ways of providing public services. Mark is a regular contributor to The Guardian Social Enterprise Network pages. here
