REalliance completed the three-year Third Sector Capacity Building programme in March 2011.  The programme was delivered in partnership with WRAP and our network partners.  Over the three years the programme worked with approximately 300 organisations across England to help them to reuse, recycle and compost more effectively and by doing so to provide valuable resources for their communities.

The aim of the programme was to increase the capacity, viability and efficiency of third sector organisations working in resource efficiency.  Over the three years of the programme, the organisations that we helped we able to:

• divert an addtional 74,000 tonnes of waste
• provide reused furniture to over a quarter of a million households
• increase their turn over by £12m
• provide 3,800 additional training places

This is just the beginning, the benefits of the programme will continue to be seen for years to come.
